- Bette Wright, a long time resident of the City of Radford, Virginia spoke to Ron Kolenbrander in Radford University’s McConnell Library about life in Radford during World War 2. She speaks of war rationing, the Radford Army Ammunition Plant and how the city of Radford grew because of it, and life after the war. Mrs. Write was a student at Radford University and worked as a schoolteacher in the area.
