- Radford College students preparing to attend the Virginia Academy of Science meeting in Blacksburg. The students are: J. Frances Allen of East Radford, presented a talk and exhibited specimens on mollusks of Montgomery County and surrounding counties; Margaret McDowell of Java, exhibited 18 species of salamanders from the surrounding area; Sara Lovelace of East Radford exhibited 16 species of millipedes and centipedes collected locally; and Ellen Bennett of Covington exhibited 17 species of snakes found in the Allegheny Region of Virginia. Dr. Paul R. Burch of the Radford Biology Department was also in attendance. Date unknown.
