Description
On January 21, 2017, hundreds of thousands of people marched in support of women's rights, women's health issues, immigrant rights, LGBT rights and other issues. These marches were held in Washington DC, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York and many other places, including Antarctica, London, Australia, Germany and other countries. The Archives and Special Collections unit of Radford University's McConnell Library is conducting interviews of participants of various marches to help preserve the history, the ideas and impressions of those marchers. On February 8, 2017 Jen Carroll talked to us about her march experience, described the crowds, her perceptions of why the march happened when and where it did, and what she hopes will change in the future. This video has many photographs and a few supplemental video clips from the march. An HD version of this video is available for viewing on our Archives Vimeo account: https://vimeo.com/206486344
