- Description
- This is the first letter in what will be a relatively long series- John Preston McConnell sent $10 in a letter to his son Carl, who was departing by ship for Europe. He sent two copies of the same letter, one to Carl's hotel, and one to the ship Carl would be sailing on. The letter addressed to the ship had the $10 in it, and did not reach its destination. Dr. McConnell later sent several inquiries to various places trying to track down the missing letter.
