- In this letter to Carl and Rio from John Preston McConnell, he relates various family news and also mentions that Carl's brother Paul brought his new wife to the McConnell house recently and that she is a very slender woman weighing 95 pounds and is 28 or 29 years old. Also in this letter is a bit of talk about Dr. McConnell's cows and how they are producing a lot of milk, how several of his cows are having calves, and how milk prices have dropped.
