- In this letter, written on his 36th birthday, Carl McConnell sends news to John Preston McConnel as well as a $50 check which he apparently owed. In addition, he mentions that his wife Rio has been having health problems and needed new glasses and shoes and that a lot of her health issues stem from her having had Scarlet Fever.
