- In this letter to Carl, John Preston McConnell mentions several things of interest, among them: the college bought the Heth House and plans on making it a Home Economics house for the college, and commencement for 1933 will show 256 graduates in the 2 and 4 year programs. At the time of this letter, Carl was heading to Oslo, Norway and then to Iceland to further his studies of Biology and Dr. McConnell mentions his interest in the fjords of Norway and of Iceland.
