- Description
- In this letter to his father, Carl McConnell mentions that he is applying for a position in Washington DC and is asking John Preston McConnel for advice and help. Dr. McConnell had mentioned in previous letters to Carl that he has friends and influence with various politicians and in this letter, Carl indicates that any influence that would be helpful is welcome. He also hints that his wife Rio does not know about this and asks that it be kept private.
