- Description
- In this letter to Carl and Rio, John Preston McConnell gives housing advice to his son and daughter-in-law. Apparently Carl and Rio's financial situation was such that it made more financial sense to them to rent an apartment than to live in a house and Dr. McConnell is here advising them against that. "I think a man has a little better standing in the commnity if he has a home where he can entertain his friends and looked up on as one of the citizens than if he had mere apartments in a hotel or rooming house or apartmnte house of some kind." He urges Carl and Rio to take their time in making decisions.
