- Description
- In this letter to Carl, John Preston McConnell talks about politicians running for governor. He mentions four men running, three wet and one dry- a reference to alcohol. He mentions efforts toward getting other "dry" candidates to run and that people have tried to get him to run also. In addition, the letter relates various family news, mentions several church elders by name, again asks Carl about coming to Radford for the summer to dictate his memoir to stenographers, and mentions that M'Ledge Moffett is just finishing a "great book on the history of the college".
