- Description
- When writing to his children, John Preston McConnell frequently would say that if they did not have time to write a letter that they should send a postal card just to let him know what they were doing. This is one of those postal cards written by his daughter-in-law Rio McConnell. On it she mentions bad winter weather, various aspects of Carl's work at the university, and that they have an additional heater in their apartment with the hope that they will be able to get warm. Carl and Rio McConnell were at the time experiencing some financial difficulties.
