Description
In this letter to Carl, John Preston McConnell indicates he will be investigating whether a friend of his, B.P.Carrol, who had worked at Syracuse University can exert any influence in getting Carl a job there. Dr. McConnell frequently used his contacts and friends at various universities to help his children find teaching jobs. He also mentions in this letter that he and his wife are working with John McConnel and his wife to erect a tombstone in Scott county for his great grandparents, George and Susanna McConnell.
