- In this short letter, John Preston McConnell reports to Carl and Rio that there has been two recent deaths of faculty members of the State Teachers College at Radford. Professor John Ingram-Brookes, the violin teacher died of peritonitis and Gypsy Smith died of an unnamed cause.
