- Flying from New York to Kabul, Afghanistan. This was not quite the first travel I had taken but it was certainly the longest, and like many flights, nothing really happened. But I took a lot of pictures of airports and clouuds any way. The flight was on Pan-Am, no longer around. The Blair Brainard Peace Corps in Afghanistan Photographic Collection captures the photographers experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Afghanistan, primarily in the city of Herat, 1965-1968.
