Description
Unfortunately crossing the bridge put us in the shade and this is too dark. The bridge was constructed of three iron beams and the road bed was made with essentially unfinished large tree trunks laid across the beams. The tree trunks were not secured and bounced and moved as the jeep crossed. Needless to say, everyone except the jeep driver walked across instead of driving across. <br> The Blair Brainard Peace Corps in Afghanistan Photographic Collection captures the photographers experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Afghanistan, primarily in the city of Herat, 1965-1968.
