In this letter to the Postmaster of New York, Dr. John Preston McConnell explains that on July 1, 1930 he mailed a letter containing $10 to his son addressed to a ship his son was boarding to sail to Europe. He explains that incorrect forwarding information was on the letter and that it may have been forwarded to British Guiana and is asking the Postmaster to help locate this letter and forward it to his son in Yugoslavia. He also inquires as to the amount of postage he should be using.
