In this letter mostly about family history, John Preston McConnell mentions to his son Carl a little about their relatives John Lucas, and Charles Kilgore who fought in the Great Battle of King's Mountain. He also again mentions the missing letter he sent to Carl with $10 in it and updates him on the search for the missing money. Included with this letter is a letter from the Postmaster of New York who informs Dr. McConnell that the letter in question was received on July 3, 1930 by Assistant Purser Cleves at the boat dock but that the letter can not be located. An additional letter is enclosed from the Postmaster of British Guiana informing Dr. McClellan that the missing letter can not be located there.- Creator
